My mother's family left Lebanon with the intention of going back when the violence had ended. That was in 1902. My grandfather was 2 years old at the time.
Unfortunately a common experience. So many Lebanese have been forced to stay away from their home country because of Hezbollah and Palestinian Jihadists. Very sad. And the world stands by in silence.
I was raising kids on the other side of the world. But if those who report the news had done so responsibly, at least I could have prayed for them. It makes one so angry.
Thank you for sharing. I served with the Multi National Peacekeeping Force as a US Marine in 1982-1983. During my time in Lebanon I had the opportunity to meet and become friends with Lebanese of all faiths. I share your conclusions about both the Palestinians and Hezbollah from painful personal experience.
Yes!
I understand your concern and pain. But the world looked the other way and here we are. Tragic.
Very true.

It boils down to one thing.
Stop turning the other cheek.
Fight back.
